The Appraisers’ Association of America held its annual Art Law Day in New York on 26 October 2018 on the topic of the sale of misattributed artworks and antiques. Anne Laure spoke about the dealers’ liability for selling misattributed art from a Swiss law perspective.
Kunstforum Zürich and the University of Zurich’s Art Market Studies program held a conference on 29 October 2018 on the first self-regulatory initiatives in Switzerland. At this conference Anne Laure Bandle presented the Responsible Art Market (RAM) initiative guidelines and toolkit and Marc Spiegler, director of Art Basel, discussed the fair’s new ethical guidelines and dispute resolution process.
