Borel & Barbey is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Henninger and Clément Bouvier as Partners, effective 1 January 2026. They have distinguished themselves through their expertise, commitment and contribution to the development of our Firm.
Julia Henninger advises Swiss and international private clients on estate and matrimonial planning. She provides guidance in particular on business succession matters, the drafting of marriage contracts, wills and inheritance agreements, as well as the creation of charitable foundations and trusts. She represents clients in inheritance disputes – often multi-jurisdictional – both in negotiations and before Swiss courts. Her practice further includes assisting the various parties involved (heirs, executors, family offices, etc.) with the administration and liquidation of complex estates.
Clément Bouvier advises private and institutional clients on business law, with a particular focus on corporate law, contract law, M&A, and restructuring. He also advises Swiss and foreign financial institutions as well as various types of borrowers on transactions including traditional and non-traditional asset-backed financings, bond issuances, and syndicated loans. As a TEP, his practice further extends to estate and wealth planning, trusts and foundations, private international law, and family governance.
