At the conference “Identification and verification of the beneficial owner” organized by Academy & Finance in Geneva on November 24, 2021, Maria Chiriaeva presented the practical implications of the requirements regarding the verification of the identity of the beneficial owners under the revised Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. Maria’s presentation focused on a comparison between the existing practice and the new requirements which will be imposed on financial intermediaries next year.
