Josef Alkatout was interviewed by the Swiss RTS radio channel on the topic of child abduction during summer school holidays.
He stressed in particular that the kidnapping parents take advantage of the summer by travelling to their home countries with the excuse of taking the child on a holiday. An abduction during this particularly long holiday period is indeed the most convenient for the parent in question, giving them time to settle in abroad and enroll the child in a new school.
