Partner at Borel & Barbey, Nicolas Piérard advises private and institutional clients primarily in the fields of commercial and financial law. He regularly represents Swiss and foreign financial institutions and borrowers in complex financing arrangements, including trade and commodity finance and acquisition finance backed by traditional assets, as well as bond issues and syndicated loans.
His corporate law practice encompasses a broad range of areas (corporate governance, shareholders’ agreements, profit-sharing plans, etc.) and focuses particularly on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), especially within the financial services sector, as well as private equity transactions (providing assistance to investors, sellers, or management; venture capital).
He also provides legal counsel on art law for private collections and serves on the boards of various charitable foundations.
