Partner at Borel & Barbey, Paul Hanna specialises in real estate law, arbitration, and civil and commercial litigation. He advises and represents our clients before courts in French-speaking Swiss cantons, as well as before arbitration tribunals in Geneva, Zurich, and Paris.
With expertise in property and construction law, he supports clients at every stage of their projects, from acquisition to property management. He appears before administrative courts in disputes concerning building permits, neighbourhood plans, infringements, or classification issues, and before civil courts in matters involving legal mortgages, construction defects, overcharging disputes, or project delays.
Before civil arbitration and state courts, he regularly handles complex disputes, particularly in contractual contentious matters, personal rights, and debt recovery.
Before criminal courts, he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in the handling of cases involving alleged financial offences.
Deeply convinced that success in litigation depends on a deep understanding of procedural rules and with a constant will to help refine the practices of qualified lawyers and trainee solicitors, he has been co-leading civil procedure workshops since 2019 at the invitation of the Young Bar Association.
